A channel letter is a three dimensional letter illuminated internally with LED’s. They have a colored face and can be mounted flush to the building or on a metal wireway.

Similar to a channel letter. A reverse letter emits light out of the back shining on the wall to create a halo effect. The face of the letter usually matches the sides of the letter.

Yes, LEDs will save money in electrical operational costs and maintenance costs. Both savings are dependent on many factors such as what are you replacing with leds. If you replace a standard bulb with an LED bulb you wont see much savings but if a large sign that a bucket truck is needed is upgraded to LED the savings can be substantial. For signs and lights we will refer to the kelvin number as the color of the light. The higher the number the whiter the light. 5000k is a daylight color that works well outdoors for area lighting and parking lot lighting. A yellow, softer color of 2700- 3000k is preferred more for indoor residential areas. Some studies show the lower the kelvin rating the more relaxing the environment can be.

Commercial grade is designed for more intense use and to last longer than residential grade. Usually there is a cost difference for the commercial grade.

The packaging on the label is misleading and they are a residential grade mass produced item. The label must be read carefully to determine real performance of the bulb.
